Introduction
Formed in 1984, EBE Computing is a world-leader in the migration of ICL mainframes on to more mainstream platforms. Based in Cape Town, South Africa, EBE Computing provides a range of information technology services in addition to the migration of ICL systems. Our flagship OpenSCL product has received global acceptance and is currently used by clients in eight (8) different countries. EBE Computing also provides Unix support and assists organisations in the migration to the Linux platform.

Executive Summary
OpenSCL
OpenSCL is the flagship product of EBE Computing. OpenSCL has been developed to replicate the SCL scripting language on ‘open systems’ platforms (Windows, AIX and Linux).

OpenSCL also comes with traditional VME operating system functions such as logging. Enhanced features such as a graphical user interface and a highly functional, user-friendly development environment are a part and parcel of the OpenSCL offering, effectively marrying the mainframe discipline with modern operating systems.

Unix Support
Our Unix professionals have been involved from traditional support to development of systems. EBE Computing provides a range of services in the area of Unix support and development.

Linux Migrations
We have a varied skills and competencies in place to support organisations migrating to Linux-based systems. We provide both front-end and back-end support for Linux migrations.
